Print Arts Northwest: Seeking Applicants for Emerging Printmakers Residency

Print Arts Northwest is currently seeking applications for the next Emerging Printmakers Residency; the deadline to apply is December 14, 2012. As many of you already know, I participated in PAN’s Emerging Printmakers Residency. The end-of-program exhibition, generously hosted by Stonehenge Studios, just came down on October 30th.

Overall, the residency was an excellent learning experience: the PAN artist mentor I worked with was great, and the monthly workshops/meetings/artist talks are geared toward helping emerging printmakers find their footing in a professional sense; you know, all the practical stuff that a four-year degree in the subject usually doesn’t cover. Because of the duration and the slow-and-steady pace, I only recommend this residency for people already living in or near Portland, Oregon. It was a perfect post-graduation situation for me.

If you would like to know more about my experience with the residency, feel free to get in touch via the contact form on my about page, or find me on Print People.

Here’s what PAN wrote in their newsletter:
